Missouri: Club for Growth Eyes Hulshof Successors

Anti-tax crusaders the Club for Growth may soon take a side in the Republican primary in retiring Rep. Kenny Hulshof’s (R) Show Me State district. The group confirmed on Wednesday that it interviewed former state tourism director Blaine Luetkemeyer (R) earlier in the day, after recently meet with his leading opponent, state Rep. Bob Onder (R).

Missouri’s primary is Aug. 19.

The winner of the Onder-Luetkemeyer duel likely will face either state Rep. Steve Gaw (D) or state Rep. Judy Baker (D), an EMILY’s List candidate, in the general election.
