Key Obama Staff Huddle With Democratic Leaders

Key members of President-elect Barack Obama’s team on Wednesday were making the rounds with House and Senate Democratic leaders to discuss the state of the economy, several sources confirmed.

Among those on the Hill were Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.), Obama’s incoming chief of staff, Lawrence Summers, Obama’s incoming National Economic Council director, and Phil Schiliro, Obama’s top legislative affairs aide.

Rob Nabors, who Obama picked for his deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget, was also spotted in the halls, but it wasn’t clear whether he was participating in the top-level meetings.
