Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Wednesday that an announcement outlining details of an economic stimulus package could come within 24 hours.

Pelosi said the blueprint would be ready, “if not later today then tomorrow.”

She said Democrats had homed in on the overall size of the package and said the measure would focus on creating jobs and stimulating the economy. She said the package was on schedule to hit the president’s desk before the Presidents Day recess, which begins in mid-February.

“I’m more confident today than yesterday,” she said.
