It’s championship weekend in college football, and at least two Members of Congress are using Saturday’s big games as a way to raise money for their campaigns.[IMGCAP(1)]The highly anticipated Southeastern Conference championship matchup between No. 1 Florida and No. 2 Alabama is scheduled to serve as the setting for a fundraiser for Rep. Parker Griffith (D-Ala.). Tickets for the campaign event at the Georgia Dome start at $2,400 for individuals and $2,500 for political action committees, according to the invitation.Rep. Harry Teague (D-N.M.), meanwhile, is expected to raise campaign money at the Big 12 championship game between No. 3 Texas and No. 22 Nebraska at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
