HOH’s One-Minute Recess: A Man Can Die but Once

Like the character in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” former Rep. Jim Kolbe is not dead yet. And the Arizona Republican seems to be having a laugh over his premature eulogization on the House floor.

[IMGCAP(1)]Kolbe said it was “kind of funny” when House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) mistook a tribute to Kolbe on the floor (it was in the context of a bill to name a post office after him) for a eulogy.

“I’m reminded of Mark Twain’s old saying that the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated,” he told the Arizona Republic.
