Scene: Democrats Make Impromptu March to Capitol for Health Care Vote

At a press conference after the Democrats’ final caucus on health care, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) predicted the bill would pass and then Democrats made an impromptu march to the Capitol to begin debate on the controversial bill. The scene was intense as Democrats made their way through a gauntlet of both pro- and anti-health-care-reform protesters. Capitol Police flanked the 100 or so marching Democrats and held back the protesters as well as a few unlucky journalists.
