Ex-Blue Dogs Start Fiscal Policy Nonprofit

Six former Blue Dog Coalition members and aides are banding together to form the Blue Dog Research Forum. The nonprofit’s goal is to further centrist principles to current political issues by providing a series of forums and programs though which members of Congress, academic experts, associations, unions, corporations and others can create a dialogue and come up with solutions related to the fiscal well-being of the country.

Roll Call recently sat down with two of the ex-Blue Dogs, former Rep. Charlie Stenholm (D-Texas) of Olsson Frank & Weeda and former Rep. Bud Cramer (D-Ala.) of Wexler & Walker Public Policy Associates, to talk about their new venture.
