Tennessee: Gingrich Backing Smith For Wamp’s House Seat

Former state GOP Chairwoman Robin Smith, who is hoping to replace Rep. Zach Wamp (R) in the 3rd district this fall, scored a high-profile endorsement from former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.).

The Gingrich endorsement comes just days before Smith faces off against 10 other Republicans in the state’s Aug. 5 primary.
