Obama to Hold White House News Conference Next Week

President Barack Obama will hold a rare news conference at the White House on Sept. 10.

Obama will take questions from the White House press corps — his first time doing so by himself in nearly four months — and use the event to talk about the economy. The news conference will cap a week in which the president will have traveled to Wisconsin and Ohio for events on the economy.

The last time Obama held a solo news conference at the White House was May 27, when he addressed the Gulf oil spill.
