Rahm Emanuel might have left Washington, but it appears his, um, colorful way of speaking hasn’t left Democratic circles entirely.

The Democratic National Committee sent an e-mail to reporters Monday linking to a blog post on the Philadelphia City Paper’s website announcing that the Roots will perform as part of President Barack Obama’s appearance in the City of Brotherly Love on Sunday.

In the post, City Paper writer Jeffrey Billman uses a rather naughty word to announce the news.

“You heard it here first: Just got word from a Democratic source that the Roots, who campaigned for Obama in 2008 and are f—ing awesome, will perform next Sunday as part of President Obama’s Move America Forward Rally,” Billman writes.

To be fair, the Roots are, well, f—ing awesome.
