Palin’s Sarah PAC Raises $1.2 Million During Third Quarter

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin raised more than $1.2 million for her political action committee since July.

The sum marks the largest quarterly pull for Sarah PAC, which is connected to the former Alaska Governor, but her total receipts of $4.6 million for the election cycle still lags behind other 2012 presidential contenders.

The group for former Rep. Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), American Solutions for Winning the Future, raised $20.5 million through the end of June. The group for former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Mass.), Free and Strong America PAC, raised $7.7 million through the end of August.

During the past three months, Palin’s PAC has donated $66,000 to candidates and party committees, while spending $1 million on other disbursements, including $443,000 on expenditures containing the words “mail” or “postage” since July — presumably direct-mail expenditures.
