Heard on the Hill: The Women of CPAC Gather

Move over, Rep. Michele Bachmann: Reality TV star Michelle Duggar is coming to the Conservative Political Action Conference in town next week.

While the Minnesota Republican may be the darling of the tea party (sorry, Sarah Palin), the star of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” is the one being honored at this year’s 2011 Woman of the Year Luncheon held by the Claire Booth Luce Policy Institute. The women-only luncheon is held annually at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel during CPAC.

This isn’t the first time Duggar has been recognized for her conservative values. Back in September, Duggar was featured alongside Bachmann and others such as Ann Coulter in CPAC’s Great American Conservative Women Calendar.

Duggar and Bachmann have more than just their conservative values in common. In addition to sharing a first name, they both have a lot of children. Duggar is mom to 19, while Bachmann has raised five children and provided foster care for 23 others.
