“Congrats to Shaw U men & women for victories on Saturday. I’ve invited Shaw U Pres to watch the Bobcats-Bulls game at the WH with POTUS & me.”

— Sen. Kay Hagan recognized the Shaw (N.C.) University basketball teams for winning the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association championships in a Tuesday tweet. The North Carolina Democrat was invited to attend President Barack Obama’s viewing party along with Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.).
