There’s nothing like charity to bring together Members from both sides of the aisle.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers will attend a gala honoring the N Street Village, a D.C.-based charitable organization that aids homeless and low-income women.

The event, scheduled for April 6, is co-chaired by former White House Social Secretary Julianna Smoot and Diana Enzi, wife of Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.), who is also expected to attend. Other Members on the guest list include Sens. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Tim Johnson (D-S.D.), as well as Reps. Steven LaTourette (R-Ohio) and Doris Matsui (D-Calif.).

But lawmakers aren’t the only political types expected to attend the gala. White House drug czar Gil Kerlikowske and D.C. Councilmember Jack Evans will also be on hand.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will be honored at the event for her “professional and personal efforts [that] have provided new opportunities for the most vulnerable in our society.”
