Heard on the Hill: Famous for Washington

Looks like Rep. Barney Frank has a fan club.

A tipster tells us that the Massachusetts Democrat had an encounter with some enthusiastic young folks last week.

“They were all atwitter about having seen their hero, Barney Frank,” our spy says.

Frank was spotted enjoying a slice at the Capitol Hill restaurant We, the Pizza before shopping at Roland’s on Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast. Shortly after he exited the grocery store, a young man and woman stopped the 16-term Congressman and asked him to pose for a photo.

“Barney, who is not usually a pleasant person, stopped and let these people snap a photo,” our spy says.

Don’t let the fame go to your head, Congressman!
