McMahon Jumps In for Second Senate Bid

Former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon (R) is back for round two in the political arena.

McMahon will run a second time for Senate and will announce her campaign Tuesday. She said in a statement she is a “job creator,” not a politician. McMahon spent $50 million of her own funds last cycle but lost by double digits in November.

She will face former Rep. Christopher Shays in the GOP primary. Both Republicans will have an uphill battle running for the open Senate seat in the traditionally Democratic state.
