Jamie Fly has been hired as counselor for foreign and national security affairs for Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. Fly is the executive director of the Foreign Policy Initiative, a conservative-leaning foreign policy think tank. He has served as director for counterproliferation strategy at the National Security Council under President George W. Bush. He also served at the Defense Department as an assistant for transnational threats policy under Bush.
Clay Alspach has been promoted to health chief counsel for the Republican staff on the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. He was health counsel for the full committee. Alspach also has worked as a legislative clerk for the committee. He was an associate at Reed Smith.
Mike Friedberg has been appointed staff director for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials. He was a professional staff member on the House Transportation-HUD Appropriations subcommittee. He also has worked as a program examiner at the Office of Management and Budget.

She has worked for the company as a fleet director and as director of maritime safety and compliance.
Ryan Long has been hired as a vice president at BGR Government Affairs. He was chief health counsel for the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. He also has worked as legislative director for Rep. Joe L. Barton, R-Texas. He also worked for former Rep. Charlie Norwood, R-Ga.
Pamela Drew has been appointed president of the information systems business unit at Exelis. Drew was senior vice president of strategic capabilities and technology at TASC Inc., where she previously had led the enterprise systems business unit. She also has served as sector vice president of business development in Northrop Grumman’s mission systems sector. She also worked as vice president and general manager for the integrated defense and security solutions organization at Boeing. She was vice president and general manager of Boeing’s command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance solutions organization.
Allen Hicks has been promoted to partner in the corporate/transactional practice at law and lobbying firm Hogan Lovells. Hicks was counsel. He has worked as chief counsel to former Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tenn. He also has worked as an associate at law and lobbying firm King & Spaulding.
