Today at a Glance: Feb. 25, 2013

Both chambers reconvene Monday after a weeklong recess for Presidents Day.

The Senate is expected to proceed to executive session to consider Robert E. Bacharach of Oklahoma to be a circuit judge for U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. Bacharach’s confirmation vote will be held at 5:30 p.m. His nomination fell victim to a filibuster last year.

Before the recess, a filibuster kept the Senate from proceeding to a vote on the nomination of Chuck Hagel to be Defense secretary. Another cloture vote, which would cut off debate on the Hagel nomination, is planned for Monday.

Meanwhile, the House will consider a single measure under suspension of the rules.
