Mollie Binotto has been promoted to legislative correspondent for Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont. She was executive assistant to the chief of staff and legislative director/legislative correspondent in Tester’s office. She also has served as a staff assistant to Tester. She also worked as Northern Nevada’s regional field director for the Nevada State Democratic Party/Friends for Harry Reid. She was a GPA special assistant at R&R Partners. She also worked as a field organizer for President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign. She was a research assistant at Winning Strategies Washington.
Marty Machowsky has been hired as senior vice president in the public affairs practice at Widmeyer Communications. He was senior vice president of strategic communications at McGuireWoods Consulting. He also worked as a senior and executive vice president at Edelman. He was vice president at Issue Dynamics. He worked as legislative director to former Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Va. He was chief of staff to the former chairwoman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, Audrey Moore.
Bret Wincup has been hired as director of government relations for U.S. federal at Hewlett-Packard. Wincup was director of government relations at the Information Technology Industry Council. He also worked as deputy finance director in the leadership office of Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev. He was on the leadership staff of former Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D.
Kelly Eaton has been hired as senior manager of Hewlett-Packard’s political action committee and political programs. She managed the PAC and political programs at NextEra Energy. She also has worked as the PAC manager at Prudential Financial Inc. She was senior public policy specialist at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. She was PAC manager at General Electric.
Dennis G. Smith has been hired as a managing partner and member of the health policy practice at McKenna Long & Aldridge. He was secretary of the health services department for Wisconsin. He also has worked as director of the center for Medicaid and state operations at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He was acting administrator of CMS, too. He was Medicaid director for Virginia and was chief of planning for the department of developmental services in California.
Bartin Shapiro has joined the financial institutions compliance practice at Offit Kurman as a principal. Shapiro was a senior adviser to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He has worked as director of the Housing and Urban Development Department’s office of RESPA and interstate land sales. He has also worked as a trial-attorney in the department’s office of litigation.

Joseph Corrigan has been hired as a senior public policy adviser in the governmental services and finance department and federal relations group. Corrigan was senior director of governmental affairs at law and lobbying firm Greenberg Traurig. He has worked as a legislative assistant to the secretary of the Army. He has also served as mobile district for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
David T. Hickey has been hired as a partner in the corporate department. Hickey was a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig. He has worked as a staff investigator for the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee. He also has worked as a manager in the office of the clerk at the House of Representatives.
Dorn “Bo” McGrath has been hired as a partner in the corporate department. McGrath was an attorney at Greenberg Traurig.
