Ryan Pettit has been hired as a member of the Democratic staff on the Senate Budget Committee. Pettit was a senior legislative assistant for the Democratic staff on the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee. He also has worked as civil affairs team chief in the Marine Corps in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was an intern at the Hudson Institute.
Steven B. Harris has been reappointed as a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Harris was senior vice president and special counsel for lobbying and consulting firm APCO Worldwide. He has worked as staff director and chief counsel of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. He also has worked as a staff director and chief counsel to the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Securities Subcommittee.
Jay D. Hanson has also been reappointed to the PCAOB. Hanson was the national director of accounting and head of the accounting standards group at McGladrey & Pullen. He has worked as a member of the member of the Emerging Issues Task Force of the Financial Accounting Standards Board. He also has served as chairman of the Financial Reporting Executive Committee at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Keith Littlefield has been appointed chief technology officer at TASC Inc., a defense technology company. Littlefield was the associate deputy director of national intelligence for acquisition and technology in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. He has served as director of acquisition at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). He also has served at the NGA as chief acquisition executive.
Scott Royal has been promoted to CEO of Abt SRBI, the survey research and data collection arm of consulting company Abt Associates. Royal was the division vice president for U.S. health. He has worked as a vice president and principal associate at Abt. He also has worked as a program manager at RTI International.
Jerry Howe has joined the government contracts and aerospace and defense practices at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson as a partner. Howe was senior vice president and general counsel at TASC. He has worked as senior vice president and general counsel at defense technology company Veridian Corp. He also has worked as a partner at law and lobbying firm Steptoe & Johnson.
Catherine Livingston has joined the health care practice at Jones Day as a partner. Livingston was deputy division counsel/deputy associate chief counsel in the tax-exempt and government entities division of the IRS chief counsel’s office. She has served as an attorney adviser, associate tax legislative counsel and as deputy tax legislative counsel in the Treasury Department’s office of tax policy. She also has worked as a partner at Caplin & Drysdale.
Brian Daum has been hired as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Savi Technology, a defense technology company. Daum was the chief financial officer at Centrifuge Systems Inc., an intelligence software company. He has worked as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at technology company Arc Second Inc. He also has worked as chief financial officer at marketing company Sandbox.com.
Maggie Bauer has been appointed senior vice president for health services at Creative Computing Solutions, Inc., a government business services company. Bauer was division vice president and general manager in the high performance technologies group at Dynamics Research Corp. She has worked as a senior vice president at Dell Government Services. She also has worked as senior director of business development at QSS Group, Inc.
Sean E. Doherty has been hired as an advisory services executive in the supply chain security solutions group at BSI America Professional Services Inc. Doherty was the acting director of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Customs-Trade Partnerships Against Terrorism Program (C-TPAT). Doherty has also worked as a principal field manager for the C-TPAT program in the Customs Service’s New York field office.
