Chamber of Commerce Spends $1.2 Million on Independent Expenditures

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce  reported late this afternoon that it spent $1.2 million Wednesday for independent expenditures for the 2014 elections.  

The Chamber reported it paid $450,000 to Something Else Strategies (SC) on April 30th for television and online advertisements to run from April 30th through May 19th. The ads are independent expenditures opposing Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C.  

The Chamber also paid $450,000 to Something Else Strategies (SC) on April 30th for television and online advertisements to run from April 30th through May 19th. The ads are independent expenditures supporting U.S. Senate candidate Thom Tillis, R-N.C.  

The Chamber also spent money against a Republican. The Chamber paid $300,000 to The Revolution Agency on April 30th for television and digital advertisements to run from April 30th through May 19th. The ads are independent expenditures opposing  candidate  Woody White, R-N.C., in the 7th District.
