The little Capitol Hill creamery that could is celebrating its one-year anniversary by doling out surprise cheeseboards to people customers feel are most deserving of some gourmet gratitude.

Those interested in taking advantage of Sona Creamery and Wine Bar’s “Random Acts of Cheese” campaign are encouraged to nominate those worthy of a dairy-rich snack. “Send an email, tweet @SonaCreamery , or leave a comment on our Facebook post (or all three) nominating yourself, someone you know, or a place to receive a Random Act of Cheese,” the shop, which debuted last winter, advised fans in a recent newsletter .

A Sona spokeswoman projected that nominations would be accepted through at least Feb. 8, with drawings expected to follow the formal “Cheese-stravaganza” (think: in-store giveaways) scheduled to take place from Feb. 6 to Feb. 8. As part of the broader promotion, Sona also expects to send one lucky winner — chosen from the store’s customer loyalty program (Text the word “sona” to 80777 to enroll) — on a cheese-tasting trip for two to Ireland.

Per Team Sona, the winners of the complimentary cheeseboards can expect to feast on no less than a trio of cultured goodies (businesses are expected to score larger servings) flanked by house-made dips and snacks.

No word on how much of the epicurean booty will be District-born versus farmed out to the rest of the world.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got to see about ensuring the founder of the CQ Roll Call Cheese Club (Turning 3 this year!) gets thrown into the mix.
