When last we took you behind the scenes of House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer’s burgeoning roster of athletic supporters , HOH hinted that Dingell’s delegation mates should leave their options open toward the end of the month.

Dingell drilled us for putting the wrong team on the court against the Maryland Terrapins. “I love the game and cheer for all things Michigan. But I am a ‘Go Blue’ fan first and foremost … and trust me they would take very deep offense at being called a Spartan,” Dingell, who considers the totality of the University of Michigan a constituent, alerted HOH in an email.

She noted that the contest between Big Ten conferees scheduled for Feb. 28 is between the 19-5 Terps and the 13-11 Michigan Wolverines — “Which I pray is far better than the Michigan State game,” she quipped.

Dingell watched the 15-8 Spartans fall to University of Maryland just last month.
