The roughly hour-long program, which is scheduled to take place in Upper D Park (opposite the Longworth House Office Building) beginning at 7 a.m., is being co-sponsored by the Congressional Men’s Health Caucus in honor of Men’s Health Month.

An event organizer said the Oklahoma Republican, who regularly leads fitness-seeking lawmakers through similar paces in the member’s gym, has been tasked with developing the workout routine. The event aide said a cardio-circuit format seems most likely, with participants expected to be split into groups.

Per event organizers, regular workout buddies such as House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and Reps. Jason Smith, R-Mo., and Joseph P. Kennedy III, D-Mass., have expressed interest in attending the open-air session. Members and staff are welcome to sweat it out with Mullin and Rep. Donald M. Payne Jr., D-N.J., the co-chairman of the Men’s Health Caucus.
