Office Space: Bruce Braley’s Baseball Haven

Then-Rep. Bruce Braley gave a tour of his congressional office in 2010 for Roll Call’s “Office Space” series, which will make a triumphant return this fall. From 2007 to 2015, the Democrat represented the Iowa district where the steel bollards protecting the entrances to federal buildings were manufactured and where the 1989 film “Field of Dreams” was filmed. “As a result, his space in the Longworth House Office Building is decorated with mementos that pay homage to working hard and playing hard,” reporter Ali McSherry wrote in the original March 22, 2010, story. “My office is a reflection of who I am, my family and the people I want to remember while I’m here in Washington,” said Braley, who ran unsuccessfully for Senate in 2014.
