Rep. Dana Rohrabacher gave a tour of his congressional office in 2011 for Roll Call’s “Office Space” series, which returns next week.Surfboards covered the walls in his Rayburn House Office Building, along with photos from his political career. “His tenure [in politics] includes sneaking off to the front lines of the war in Afghanistan weeks before being sworn into office, maintaining a lifelong friendship with President Ronald Reagan and hobnobbing with celebrities such as John Wayne and Sammy Hagar,” reporter Ali McSherry wrote in the original story. “But through all these escapades, surfing has remained at the top of his priority list.” “When I first proposed and we decided to get married, I wanted to get married where we could go surfing on our honeymoon,” Rohrabacher said, reflecting on a European honeymoon with his wife, Rhonda. Rohrabacher’s is the last in a series of previously published Roll Call “Office Space” features that re-ran during the August recess. Check back next week for new episodes. Read more.
