Earnest on Shutdown: GOP ‘Judged by Actions’

When asked about the likelihood of government shutdown, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest put pressure on Republicans to meet Democrats half way in regard to budget negotiations. “The administration and the American people will judge the Republican leaders by their actions,” Earnest said. “It’s one thing for them to say they don’t want a government shutdown, it’s yet another thing for them to say they won’t even talk to Democrats to figure out how to avoid it.”
