White House Doubles Down on Sept. 17 Iran Deadline

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Thursday that the Republicans’ opportunity to defeat the Iran nuclear deal will soon be over. “They essentially had 60 days to play the spoiler, and if votes go the way that we think that they will … Congress’ opportunity to play that role will expire next week,” Earnest said.
