WH: Secret Service Will Be Held Accountable for Chaffetz Targeting

Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson each called Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, personally to apologize after reports surfaced of officials digging up dirt in retaliation for his investigation of the agency. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the president is confident that officials will be held “accountable.” But he said the president retains confidence in the leadership of the Secret Service and notes their success over the past week.
