WH: ‘No Reason’ Congress Can’t Pass Trans-Pacific Partnership in 2016

Following the announcement of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal Monday morning, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said there is “no reason” why Congress can’t ratify the agreement in 2016. He touted that the TPP would cut taxes on 18,000 American export products and services while bolstering labor and environmental standards.
