Top Clinton Aide Discusses Closed Benghazi Hearing

Huma Abedin, a top aide to fmr. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, made a brief statement to reporters Friday following a six-hour closed hearing with the House Select Committee on Benghazi.“I came here today to be as helpful as I could be to the committee,” Abedin said. “I wanted to honor the service of those lost and injured in the Benghazi attacks. I’m proud to have served at the State Department and I was honored to work for Secretary Clinton and alongside distinguished diplomats and foreign service officers. I appreciated the time of both the members and the committee staff today and I answered all their questions to the best of my ability.”
