Israelis, Americans in talks to Grow US Military Aid

New Europe reports that “American and Israeli military officials are in talks for increasing the annual US military aid to Israel by as much as $1 billion, according to the Israeli daily Haaretz.”

“An anonymous source told the Israeli daily, that this boost will be on top of the current $3.1 billion that Tel Aviv annually receives from Washington.”

“Talks on military aid began before the nuclear deal with Iran which annoyed the Israeli government and forced Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu to launch an unsuccessful US Congress campaign in order to persuade the US lawmakers to reject the deal.”
