Trump to Name VP Pick Friday

Nominee says he'll unveil selection in New York

Donald Trump will announce his running mate on Friday, he said in a tweet.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee will make the announcement in Manhattan at 11 a.m.

The short list of candidates includes New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who’s heading up his transition efforts, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.
