The Hill remains quiet this August, but the action heated up in at least one state this week as Election 2016 candidates made their cases to voters.

In Pennsylvania, Republican Sen. Patrick J. Toomey is defending his seat against Democratic nominee Katie McGinty, a onetime aide to former Vice President Al Gore and Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf. Meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. swung through Biden’s home town of Scranton.
