New York’s Democratic Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on Monday sent a cease-and-desist letter to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s foundation, ordering it to immediately stop soliciting donations.

The letter said the Trump Foundation had not registered with the state’s Charities Bureau while fundraising and soliciting donations, nor had it filed required financial reports and audits.

As a result, the foundation has 15 days to file documents relating to the order.

Trump’s foundation has been the subject of scrutiny in a series of reports that Trump rarely gives any of his own money to the foundation.

Reports also showed that the Republican nominee used money from the foundation to buy a football helmet from former NFL player Tim Tebow and a 6-foot tall portrait of himself worth $20,000

Last week, the Washington Post reported that the foundation had not obtained state certification to solicit funds.
