Speaker Paul D. Ryan told House Republicans that he would match what members collectively raise for National Republican Campaign Committee in March.

According to a source in the room, Ryan made the pledge during a conference at the Republican National Committee on Wednesday.

The pledge comes after Ryan announced he transferred $4.4 million to the NRCC in February, the third largest transfer for a Republican speaker. The two largest also came from Ryan.
