McConnell, Schumer Defend Mueller

Following President Donald Trump’s Sunday tweet decrying special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said at a news conference Tuesday that Mueller “should be allowed to finish his job,” citing Mueller’s credibility. Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer later praised McConnell’s statement, calling it “a real shot across the bow” for the Trump administration and he “hopes the president heeds it.”
