Emerging Omnibus Plan Lacking Some Big-Ticket Trump Asks

Some of the president’s signature domestic initiatives — border wall funding, and a crackdown on so-called sanctuary cities — aren’t included in a potential omnibus spending package to fund the government (at publication time, the final bill text has not been released). GOP leaders tell White House correspondent John T. Bennett that President Donald Trump is unlikely to veto the spending plan, because the alternative is another government shutdown this year.
