Politics and Nominations Abound as the Senate Returns to Washington

With a backlog of Cabinet nominees to confirm and the November midterm elections inching ever closer, the Senate is unlikely to address any major legislation in the coming months, according to Roll Call Senate reporters Niels Lesniewski and Joe Williams.
