Leahy Presses DeVos on School Safety Commission Not Considering Gun Violence

Sen. Patrick J. Leahy questioned Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos on whether the federal commission on school safety would be considering the role of gun violence in its evaluation. DeVos was testifying before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee on the Department of Education’s funding request Tuesday morning.
