Scalise Touches Base With Democrats at Congressional Baseball Practice

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise attended the Democratic team’s baseball practice on Thursday morning, one week ahead of the annual showdown between the parties at Nationals Park. Scalise, who was a longtime second baseman for the GOP team, was shot and severely wounded last year during his team’s last practice of the season.
