House Majority Whip Steve Scalise attended the Democratic team’s baseball practice on Thursday morning, one week ahead of the annual showdown between the parties at Nationals Park. Scalise, who was a longtime second baseman for the GOP team, was shot and severely wounded last year during his team’s last practice of the season.
