Meghan McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain, lambasted Rep. Martha McSally on Wednesday for joining in the president’s snub of her father.

Like President Donald Trump, McSally omitted mention of the elder McCain when she touted her support for  the National Defense Authorization Act, named in John McCain’s honor.

Meghan McCain, a co-host of ABC’s “The View,” tweeted that McSally’s performance was, “disgraceful.”

McSally, a two-term congresswoman, is the leader in a three-way contest to win the GOP nomination for Arizona’s open Senate seat.  The seat, which opened up when Sen. Jeff Flake announced his retirement, is viewed as one of the most vulnerable for Republicans heading into November. Inside Elections with Nathan L. Gonzales rates the race Toss-up

McSally was one of six members of Congress to appear with Trump when he signed the bill at Fort Drum, in upstate New York, on Monday. Trump thanked numerous members of Congress, but did not mention McCain, who is battling a deadly form of brain cancer.
