Spicer has worst chances of winning DWTS, oddsmakers say
Placing a bet on the former White House press secretary could lead to a big payoff
Gambling oddsmakers are giving former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer little to no chance of going home as King of the Dance in September when he competes on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.”
Spicer has 50-1 odds of going the distance, according to website Sportsbetting.ag. For the uninitiated, that means placing a $10 bet on Spicer would get you $500 should he win.

Spicer’s closest competition for longest odds is former NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Lamar Odom, at 25-1. Meanwhile, NFL Hall-of-Famer Ray Lewis is expected to win it all, at 4-1. This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone who’s seen the former Baltimore Ravens linebacker perform his pregame ritual, or anyone who’s observed the way football players have dominated DWTS in the past.
The hit reality dance competition show, now in its 28th season, is returning after a one-year hiatus to the delight of moms (at least, mine) across the country. But as former spokesman for one of the most polarizing presidents in modern in modern history, Spicer’s entry into the competition is not without controversy.

Even host Tom Bergeron felt the need to weigh in. In a statement posted to his Twitter account, Bergeron said the show “should be a joyful respite from our exhausting political climate and free of inevitably divisive bookings from any party affiliation.” He didn’t mention Spicer’s name, but he didn’t have to.

There’s also a prop bet on whether Spicer says the word “Trump” during the first episode, with “yes” at 10-1 and “no” at 1-25.
Other competitors include “Queer Eye” star Karamo Brown, former model and actress Christie Brinkley, the “Bachelorette” Hannah Brown and actor James Van Der Beek.
Sportsbetting, based in Panama, is a gambling website that lets users place bets on everything from the Super Bowl to the Emmys.
