NRCC Gave $164,000 to South Carolina Republicans Before Sanford Win

The South Carolina Republican Party Federal Campaign Committee disclosed today it had received $164,000 from the National Republican Congressional Committee on April 15, three weeks before the South Carolina 1st District Special Election won by Mark Sanford.

On April 17, the NRCC stated they would not spend more money on Sanford’s May 7 special election. A day earlier it was reported that Sanford had to appear in court regarding a trespassing complaint.  It was not disclosed at the time the NRCC had just given $164,000 to the state party.
