Rep. Collin Peterson, D-Minn., reported he raised only $82,852 in the third quarter of 2013, leaving a cash on hand balance of $227,388 as of 9/30. In earlier election cycles, his campaign committee had cash on hand of $609,898 on 9/30/2011, $547,492 on 9/30/2009, and $486,509 on 9/30/2007.

The 2012 election was his most expensive and he relied on over $400,000 carried over from the previous cycle and $896,441 from PAC contributions. In 2013, he carried over only $34,417 from the last cycle and has received $257,750 from PACs, including $69,172 in the third quarter of 2013.
