Billionaire Rallies Opposition to Keystone XL

Billionaire environmental activist Tom Steyer is set to rally Democrats against the Keystone XL pipeline with the message that opposition to the project will win votes in the midterm elections, the Washington Post reports.

“A slew of influential Senate Democrats will attend the session, including Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-NV), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Patrick J. Leahy (D-VT) and Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD)… Three others who are up for reelection this year — Mark Udall (D-CO), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Jeff Merkley (D-OR) — will also be there, the invitation says.”
