“When you grow up,” Sen. Orrin Hatch responded to a group of women they asked him, “why aren’t you brave enough to talk to us and exchange with us?”

The protesters approached the Utah Republican in the Hart Senate Office Building as he was waiting for the elevator.

He put his hand up when they started yelling at him.

“Don’t you wave your hand at me,” a protester yelled.

After being asked to respond to them, he said “when you grow up” as he was getting in the elevator.

“When I grow up?” she yelled back.

“How dare you talk to women like that,” another yelled.

The group continued to yell at him and he waved his hand again.

“Do not hold the door ma’am. You’re going to get arrested,” his security detail said to the protesters.

Within seconds, the door closed.
