The Republican-controlled House plans to vote next week on GOP legislation to raise the debt limit and force spending cuts, in a major test of unity for the new House majority. CQ Roll Call’s David Lerman, Aidan Quigley and Laura Weiss outline the new debt limit bill and assess its chances for passage on the House floor.
