Two Republican open seat candidates are on the list of Senate candidates contributing or loaning the most to their campaign this year. Both contributed or loaned $1 million or more to their campaigns for election in 2014. Former Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, R- Mich., who is running to fill the seat of Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., who is retiring, reported she contributed $1 million in the third quarter to her own campaign. She contributed $50,000 on 8/13 and $950,000 on 9/30. During that period she raised another 1,048,586 from individuals and PACs. She has $1,938,812 cash on hand as of 9/30.
