<div> The two major national party political committees have filed campaign finance reports covering January activity that highlight the persistent debt at the DNC and the $10 million advantage of the RNC. The <strong>DNC Services Corp./Democratic National Committee (DNC)</strong> <a title="reported" href="https://www.politicalmoneyline.com/tr/tr_ef_filer.aspx?&sFECID=C00010603&sRptNum=909284&sCycle=2014" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a> it had receipts of $6,649,918 and disbursements of $5,602,134 during January, leaving $5,747,152 cash on hand at the end of January, with $15,906,136 in debts. The DNC received $3.8 million from contributors giving $200 or less, and $2.6 million from 2,817 itemized contributors giving in excess of $200. They received $190,909 from PACs and other committees. Some of the individual donors giving the $32,400 maximum were: Warren Buffett (chairman & CEO, Berkshire Hathaway Inc., NE); Dorothy Lichtenstein (president, Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, NY); Edward Snowden (producer, NY); Andrew Tobias (writer, NY); among others. The DNC spent $1.4 million on direct mail; $397,250 on telemarketing; $525,671 on salaries; among others. The committee made a $400,00 loan repayment on their debt with Amalgamated Bank of New York.
